Kelly Ontiveros, LAMFT
I'm not taking new clients at this time.
Hello! I’m Kelly Ontiveros, and I’m a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I obtained my Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Seminary in San Diego, and a Bachelors of Arts in Interpersonal Communication from Arizona State University.
I am passionate about joining couples, individuals, and families on their journey to become their truest, most authentic selves.
I specialize in trauma, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, issues in marital connection and intimacy, and affair recovery. I have received training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, and am passionate about helping couples recover from affairs, address losses of intimacy and connection, strengthen attachment, and adjust to life stressors. I also provide pre-martial therapy for couples who are dating or engaged. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Somatic Experiencing (SE), which helps those struggling to heal from traumatic experiences, anxiety, and depression. I have in-depth training and over nine years of experience working with survivors of sexual, physical, emotional, and spiritual abuse. I utilize mindfulness and body based approaches to help clients incorporate compassion and self-acceptance on their journey of healing.
I work with my clients from a holistic perspective; addressing behaviors, thoughts, emotions, spirituality, and the body.
I understand and believe in the importance of establishing a safe therapeutic relationship that fosters healing and growth. As your therapist, I will work with you to build an individualized treatment plan that specifically addresses your concerns.
