Rachel Dickens, LPC Intern, EMDR Therapist

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a therapist intern, a wife, and a mother of one. There are often chapters of our own stories (mine included!) that we wish were different. Trauma can come in many forms, but it is more than possible for you to overcome the hopelessness, setbacks, or pain you have experienced. Regardless of what your story has been, there is hope for resilience, healing, and a transformed life! I collaborate with my clients through a strengths based approach, utilizing training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) to foster awareness and resilience. Ultimately, my goal is to create a safe and accepting environment for you to move forward in transformative healing.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UCLA and I am receiving my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I also have professional experience counseling D1 college athletes in emotional, personal, and spiritual growth at UCLA, UC Berkeley, and San Diego State. This unique background has given me a passion to work with individuals of all ages who are struggling with anxiety, eating disorders, church/ministry hurt, relational issues, and life transitions.

From my own experience in counseling, I know that taking the first step towards healing by finding a therapist may be intimidating. I would be privileged to walk beside you in your transformative journey to heal from the past and embrace the person you were designed to be.
